This song is by Seleman Nizeyimana, a Sawa Hero from Rwanda who has helped many, many former child soldiers to have a better life.
Sawa heroes are individuals in the world's poorest countries who have developed ways to eliminate extreme poverty.
Seleman's musical group is called the East Africa Big Boyz. They write and perform songs of hope and peace. Hopefully I'll be able to post more of their music here!
Björn and Benny's first hit before ABBA became ABBA. This is as you can see ages ago. Roundabout 1972. The presenter is referring to them as a group of 'youngsters'.
La-lalalala-lalalalalalaaa-lalalalalaaaa.... People need love...
Oh, and look at that jacket! Not woman in red, but man in pink. Gorgeous! :)
I met Christen this summer at Hollyhock, where she played her amazing, evocative, and healing music for us as we struggled to come to terms with climate change and other vast consequences of human unconsciousness.
Vol I: Battle Cry is a musical depiction of the emotional journey we each take to unlock our power. I wrote this album to support you in finding and releasing your battle cry in a moment in time when we are faced with what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. described as the “fierce urgency of now” — when our vigilance or neglect determines the fate of generations. In each of us lives a unique passion – a dream that wants to be worked into reality. It is critical for your dream to be manifested, for your gift to be given, for your power to be brought forth if we are to rise together and overcome our collective challenges. My dream is that this music will support you, as you step into your power and offer all you have to give.
Here's a track from Battle Cry that's a free download:
