song with no title inspired by my travels in SE Asia post

Smiling faces carved in stone 1000 years ago
Silent laughter, they hold a box of things we'll never know
Lost & forgotten, buried beneath the concrete steel and coal
A shining staircase to climb above the children far below

The world it moves so fast and I just don't know
should I make it last or should I just let it go?

Stone faces stare back from the cold streets of New York
1000 light years from poppy fields and rainbows in the North
or endless skylines of alabaster, lightning in a storm
of tumbling rain upon the tin roofs, banging out a lonely song

The world it moves so slow and it makes me feel
it's not how much you know but knowing what is real

Only darkness can balance the blinding brightness of the Dawn
The Eye of Venus, what you cannot see you'll never own
The red horizon hides a secret within it's velvet fold
Without the shadows you couldn't tell the glitter from the gold

The world it moves so fast and I just don't know
should I make it last or should I just let it go?
I'm gonna let it go, I'm gonna let it go. . .

I enjoyed this. Do you have it recorded?
